ML Binders™ sends notifications to users based on defined system actions. This article describes those notifications. The use of brackets [ ] indicates specific system data.


1. Binder Creation

When: This email is sent when a new binder is created

Who gets notified: Admins

Email content:

Subject: A new binder has been created - [Binder Name]

Body: A new binder, [Binder Name] has been created in MLBinders.

Binder description: [Binder Description Text]Binder type: [Selected types]System: [selected systems]Floor: [selected floors]Campus Location: [selected locations]


2. Section Creation

When: This email is sent when a new section is created in a binder.

Who gets notified: All users associated with the binder (users, binder managers) and Admins

Email content:

Subject: A new section [Section Name] has been added to binder [Binder name]

Body: A new section [Section Name] has been added to binder [Binder name]. To view the binder click [binder url].


3.Section Deletion

When: This email is sent when a section is deleted from a binder. 

Who gets notified: All users associated with the binder (users, binder managers) and Admins

Email content:

Subject: Section [Section name] has been removed from binder [Binder name]

Body: [Section name has been deleted from binder [binder name]. If you believe this has been done in error please contact your administrator or MasterLibrary Support [Support link].


4.File Upload

When: This email is sent when a file is uploaded to a binder.

Who gets notified: All users associated with a binder

Email content:

Subject: A new file has been added to binder [binder name]

Body: A new file [file name] has been added to binder [binder name] in section [section name].

To view the file, click [binder url].


5. File Deletion

When: This email is sent when a file is deleted from a binder. 

Who gets notified: All users associated with a binder

Email content:

Subject: A file has been removed from binder [binder name]

Body: File [file name] has been removed to binder [binder name] in section [section name].


6. User added to binder

When: This email is sent when a user is added to a binder

Who gets notified: User who has been added with a copy to Admins and Binder Managers. 

Email content:

Subject:  You have been added to binder [binder name]

Body: [User First Name] [User Last name] has been added to binder [binder name] with the following permissions:[selected binder permissions]


7. User Removed from Binder

When: This email is sent when a user is removed from a binder.

Who gets notified: User who has been removed with a copy to Admins and Binder Managers

Email content:

Subject:  You have been removed from binder [binder name]

Body: [User First Name] [User Last name] has been removed from binder [binder name]. If you believe this was done in error, please contact your administrator.


8. User Permissions Changed on Binder

When: This email is sent when a user's permissions are changed on a binder.

Who gets notified: User whose permissions are changed. 

Email content:

Subject:  Your permissions on binder [binder name] have changed

Body: [User First Name] [User Last name]'s permissions have changed on binder [binder name]. The new permissions are as follows:[selected binder permissions]


9. User's MLB role changes

When: This email is sent when a user's role in ML Binders™ is changed. 

Who gets notified: User whose role changed and Admins. CC: Admin(s)

Email content:

Subject: You have a new Role in MLB

Body: [User First Name] [User Last name] has been assigned [MLB Role Name].
