ML Binders™ EFR Software allows Admins to make various flexible settings that users can access to easily and quickly find desired binder content.
There are two kinds of binder settings that Admins can use to categorize future binders—Independent and Dependent—as described in this article. It is important to note that all these binder-related settings are optional although the consistent use of at least (4) – (5) settings is recommended to facilitate future binder retrieval (e.g., Floor, Binder Type, Campus/Location, Buildings, and Systems).
Also note that Admins can add, revise and delete any of these settings as the subscribing organization’s goals and/or team members change in the future.
Independent Binder Settings
Binder settings classified as “Independent” can be used in combination with each other and with any or all dependent settings. Independent settings are not hierarchical as they don’t rely on another setting the way Spaces are assigned to Buildings for example.
Independent settings that can be applied to binders include:
- Floor*
- Systems
- Binder Type*
*Minimum recommended setting
Each or all of the parameters entered in these independent settings are available within a binder for categorization purposes as shown on the Manage Binder screen below.
Dependent Binder Settings
Binder settings classified as “Dependent” are hierarchical in nature because they rely on another setting (e.g., Spaces are assigned to Buildings).
Dependent settings that can be applied to binders include:
- Campus/Location* (broadest level)
- Campus Zones
- Buildings*
- Building Zones
- Building Spaces* (narrowest level)
*Minimum recommended settings
