Administrators can manage binder types, based on specific needs. Binder types are an independent binder setting that can be used in any of your account’s binders, regardless of any dependent settings applied.
The Binder Type setting is optional, but is a primary category to index and retrieve content.
Examples of binder types include:
• As-built documentation, including drawings
• Operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals and documentation
• Record drawings
• Submittals
• Test results
• Policies and procedures
• Insurance
• Asbestos abatement and remediation
• Other required local, state, or federal documentation
To add a new binder type:
Select Settings > Binders > Binder Types. The Manage Binder Types page appears.
Click
. The Manage Binder Type page appears.
- Enter a Binder Type, such as Computer Manuals or Insurance.
- Click Save.
To manage an existing binder type:
- Select Settings > Binders > Binder Types. The Manage Binder Types page appears.
Next to the binder type you want, do any of the following:
To... Then... Edit a binder type a. Click . The Manage Binder Type page appears.
b. Make any desired edits.
c. Click Save.Delete a binder type
Note: You can only delete a binder type that is not associated with a binder. Click
.
Important: The binder type is deleted immediately without a confirmation.
