Administrators can use two types of settings to categorize binders – Dependent and Independent. These binder-related settings are optional, although the consistent use of settings is recommended to facilitate future binder retrieval.
For example, a smaller organization may not need the Campus/Location Zones and Building Zones settings.
You can add, revise, and delete settings as needed.
Dependent settings
Dependent settings are heirarchical, since they rely on another setting. Dependent settings that can be applied to binders include (from broadest to narrowest scope):
• Campus/Location: An entire campus or site.
• Buildings: Individual buildings on a Campus/Location.
•Floor: Individual floors in a building.
Note: Tabs can be used in binders to further categorize content.
Independent settings
Independent settings can be used in combination with each other and dependent settings. They are not hierarchical – they don’t rely on another setting.
